The Website Design and Development Process - We will work with you each step of the way on your small business website design from concept to execution
At The Launch Pad, we know there's no time to waste in getting your web presence updated or up and running. So, we've streamlined the website design and development process into the following 4 stages:
1. Vision Our process starts a with client consultation and discovery meeting, where we connect with your company's culture, services and/or products, branding, business objectives, and expectations. With this vital information, we construct the foundation of your web solution, determining visual and technical needs, as well as goals and objectives. From there we’ll provide you a detail proposal for your project.
To help you prepare for and make the most of our initial discovery meeting, we’ve put together a short guide designed to help you and us to better define your project and communicate your vision. In Step: Good Discovery Makes Great Websites download now
2. Website Design After devising potential solutions, we develop site architecture and navigation structure. We then proceed with the design of user interfaces, graphic content and multimedia elements. At this stage, we offer access to works in progress for client review and feedback so that we can reach a design consensus. During this phase and the during the entire development process, we will stage your site on our servers so that you can view its progress.
3. Website Development With client approval of the design direction, we begin website development, coding and implementation of back-end technology. Your site content will be integrated into the design. For E-commerce and other database driven website projects, your existing database (or one we've created) is then integrated with the site. Advanced multimedia and interactive production are finalized, and your content is injected into the site. Progress can be viewed in your assigned staging area. And yes, feedback is encouraged. The Launch Pad’s focus on small business website development will give your organization the boost it needs to be successful on the web.
4. Launch After final approval, your small business website is transferred to its final destination on our (or your) server. Quality assurance testing is conducted and any resulting alterations are made, your site is then set for deployment. Once live, we will monitor the website for complications. You can then announce your website adding your promotional materials and move forward with a custom website marketing program.
